Congratulations to the Infocomm Club for emerging as the Champion for both Victoria School's
National Education Video Competition (NEVC)
and National Education Web Design Competition (NEWDC).

They also managed to win Most Creative Award for Video and Best Aesthetics Award for Web Design.

The Yescom Prize Presentation night held on the 19th August 2008 at SPH Auditorium.  We won the 2nd place and the most presentable video award.  There are 39 participating schools which include primary, secondary and ITE school.

We are honoured to host a group of Taiwanese visitors from Taipei Beitou Elementary School (台北市北投国小), Kaohsiung Municipal Lingjhou Primary School (高雄市苓洲国小) and Tainan City An-Ping District Yi-Zai Elementary School (台南市安平区亿载国小) to share with them our school’s Robotics Programme. The session is very fruitful with the interactions and sharing amongst the schools.

Congratulations to David Adhikari and Ang Chee Meng of Primary 6A for obtaining a Bronze Award in the Singapore Mathematical Olympiad For Primary School 2008 organised by Hwa Chong Institution (High School) Mathematics Learning and Research Centre.

A Word of Thanks

Our sincere appreciation to pupils, parents and staff for their generous donations during a 2 day donation drive in May for those affected by the disasters in Myanmmar and Sze Chuan province in China.

Raising a total of $4700 in just 2 days, pupils and staff innately exercised our school core values, emulating care for those in need.

Awarded Programme for
School-Based Excellence in Robotics

17 primary and nine secondary schools have been recognised for their excellent performance in niche areas, outside academic achievements.

The list of schools was announced by Senior Minister of State for Education and National Development, Ms Grace Fu on 23rd April, Wednesday when she visited Chua Chu Kang Primary School – one of the primary schools to be awarded the Programme for School-Based Excellence (PSE) this year.
