| Total Defence Day - 15 February 2008 Theme: 'Total Defence. It's Personal. Play your Part.' Focus for 2008 {Adapted from: TOTAL DEFENCE RESOURCE PACKAGE 2008 (PRIMARY SCHOOL), NE Branch} This year's TD theme focuses on the very basics of Singapore's success, namely how everyone can play a part in TD and how everyone matters. Always being ready to undertake any challenges and opportunities in our path, we will be able to defend the sovereignty of our country. Although 2007 has been a relatively peaceful and prosperous year for Singapore, we need to stay vigilant and not be complacent. It is difficult to predict when an emergency will happen, so we need to be ready and prepared at all times. Besides knowing that we all can play a part in little ways, the emphasis is also on staying positive and to turn challenges into opportunities. |
