Discipline Department

Character is the decisive factor in the life of an individual

Vision
Towards a School of Self-Disciplined Leaders

Mission
We aim to provide leadership opportunities for all pupils and develop them into self-disciplined, gracious, independent and responsible citizens.

Discipline is not about blind obedience,
But right thinking and responsible behaviour
It is the development of the child - head, heart and hand.

The department believes that every pupil can exercise self-discipline. Discipline is an educative process and it takes time. Success in discipline is achieved when pupils innately embody the school values and code of behaviour. Centred on this belief is the department's stance in the discipline process. It comes under 5 key areas -

Support - Children learn best in a supportive environment
Teach - An integral part of the discipline process is instruction.
Exercise - Practice makes habit, which is what good behaviour needs for pupils to develop self-discipline.
Re-Direct - Pupils who have erred in their behaviour need to be re-orientated and guided towards the right direction
Promote - Avenues to be provided to encourage positive behaviour from pupils
